Dreiss 1984: pp. 35, 167, as A Kiss for Baby Anne

A Kiss for Baby Anne (No. 1) appears to have been signed after a counterproof was taken.

Elizabeth Arden (1878–1966), born Florence Nightingale Graham in Ontario, Canada, founded the cosmetics company that bears the name she coined for business purposes. She was also well-known for raising highly successful thoroughbred racehorses. Like Cassatt, she was awarded the Légion d'honneur by the French government, receiving hers in 1962.
