commentary

Mary Elizabeth Johnston (d. 1967) was a niece of the Cincinnati philanthropist Jane Johnston Procter, wife of William Cooper Procter of the Procter & Gamble Company. Miss Johnston lived in Glendale, a suburb of Cincinnati, and left various art works to the Cincinnati Art Museum upon her death.
