commentary

The Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., purchased Reine Lefebvre Holding a Nude Baby from its first annual exhibition, held in 1907. The museum traded the painting back to Durand-Ruel, New York, in partial payment for Susan on a Balcony Holding a Dog in 1909. Durand-Ruel then sold Reine Lefebvre Holding a Nude Baby to the Worcester Museum of Art in Worcester, Massachusetts, by the end of 1909.
