commentary

The art dealer Nicolas de Koenigsberg (d. 1952) emigrated from Moscow, living in Paris and then New York and Buenos Aires after 1939.

Libbie Rice Farish (1888–1978) married William Stamps Farish, president and CEO of the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey. Mrs. Farish supported numerous arts and educational organizations and bred horses at her family's Lazy F Ranch. Her great-uncle William Marsh Rice founded Rice University in Houston, Texas.
